Gerald Thomas Genette
June 22, 1933 - March 27, 2019
Gerald T. Genette a resident of Westland, passed from this life on March 27,
2019 at the age of 85.
Gerald was the beloved husband of the late Antoinette, and loving father of
Michael (Anne), Debra (Lon) Katz, Lynn (Gary) Hassa and Ann Marie Sexton.
He was the cherished grandfather of 10 and proud great-grandfather of 2. Gerald
was the dear brother of Patricia Storey, the late Richard, Barbara (Paul) Grzebik,
Carol (Ron) Boote.
Gerald proudly served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean
war. He was a longtime member
and commander of VFW Post #3941, and a member of American Legion Post
#32.
He will be resting at the L.J. Griffin Funeral Home, 7707 Middlebelt Rd (S. of
Ann Arbor Trail) on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 with
Military Honors at 7:00 p.m.
Gerald's Funeral Service will take place on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
from the Griffin Chapel.
